DMQ3 - Shards

I execute metamod in liblist.gam with gamedll "dlls\metamod.dll" and run the bots out of the Plugins.ini file for metamod...
Win32 dlls/HPB_bot_mm.dll.

I never even tried running them out of a command line...

Well the old version "HPB_bot.dll" I had to run from the commandline but the new version "HBB_bot_mm.dll" now works out of the metamod plugin.ini.

Looks like this has resoved the shardes not working on my server. I also had the msvcr100.dll put on my hosted servers so they are both DMQ3 now. I will get the new HPB bot on East Coast soon so the shards will work there also.

Just a thought, Fireball - You may be able to rename the old one "HPB_bot_mm.dll" and get it to work. I seem to remember certain versions of them that worked with metamod just by renaming them. It might be worth a try if you want to keep the old jumpy bots without having to upgrade to the face melting hpb bots that use the LG. I had to pester Dive to find the windows version of mine; they're the no-lg bots from the old Free-Fall.

You may very well have the last surviving copies of the old MDB jumpybots.

I was going to ask if anyone had a new dll that was edited to not use the LG. Renaming the file did not work so looks like people well have to deal with the bots using LG. I guess this way the bots are a challenge not so easy if they get their hands on the LG. Anyone know if this new version fixes the server crashing if you have a different min and max bots so they will drop has people join? I am going to test this it would be nice if that was fixed.

Try this one. I don't think it crashes the server on bot re-join... because I have my settings wrong and whenever I kick a bot it readds it right away. I guess that would mean it doesn't but you're going to have to test it for your individual settings to be sure. They don't use the LG tho.

I might leave these on for a while and see how it goes the lg is the only thing that gives them a chance especially when one gets quad and LG
